Managing Holidays in the System
Overview
The system now includes dedicated Holiday Settings that allow your shop to manage and control days you are closed. These settings ensure your holiday schedule is accurately reflected across calendars, AI Voice, and AI Texting.
This article explains how holiday settings work, where to find them, and how to customize the list to match your shop’s schedule.
What Holiday Settings Do
When you mark a date as a holiday:
- The date appears as Closed on your calendars.
- AI Voice and AI Texting will automatically adjust how they interpret and communicate your business hours for that day.
This ensures customers receive accurate information during holiday periods.
Accessing Holiday Settings
To view or manage your holidays, navigate to:
Admin → Settings → Holidays
This page displays your current holiday list along with tools to modify it.
Default Holidays
We have preloaded the system with a set of default holidays for the next year to help you get started. These can serve as a baseline, but every shop is different—so you have full control to adjust the list as needed.
Adding a Holiday
If your shop observes additional holidays or special closure days:
- Go to Admin → Settings → Holidays
- Select Add Holiday
- Enter the holiday name and date
- Save your changes
The new holiday will immediately update your calendars and AI behavior.
Deleting a Holiday
If a default or previously added holiday does not apply to your shop:
- Open Admin → Settings → Holidays
- Locate the holiday you want to remove
- Select Delete
- Confirm the deletion
This ensures your operating hours remain accurate and customized.
Best Practices
- Review the holiday list at least once per year to confirm accuracy.
- Add any shop-specific closure days well in advance.
- Ensure staff members handling scheduling are aware of updates.
