Ignore List for Imports

Overview

The Ignore List feature allows you to filter out unwanted records when importing data from external systems such as Entegral, CCC Secure Share, or any platform connected through the Open API.

This helps you prevent unnecessary or irrelevant records—like test accounts, fleet jobs, or specific insurers—from being imported into your BodyShop Booster database.

Why This Matters

When importing data from estimating or management systems, not every record needs to be stored in BodyShop Booster.

For example:

• You may want to exclude fleet work or internal test accounts.
• You may want to ignore records from certain insurance partners.

The Ignore List gives you precise control over which records are imported, keeping your database clean and relevant.

How It Works

You can find this feature under Admin → Settings → Ignore List.

From there, you can create rules that automatically ignore records from external systems based on:

• Phone number (e.g., 555-867-5309)
• Email address or email domain (e.g., jane@example.com  or all addresses from @example.com )
• Insurance company (e.g., “Chuck Insurance”)

You can also choose:

• Which integration(s) the rule applies to — such as Entegral 360, CCC Secure Share, or the Open API.

  What action to take:

  • Ignore the entire record, or
  • Exclude specific data only (for example, remove a phone number but still import the rest of the record).

Best Practices

• Use broad email domain filters (like @testshop.com ) to block all related accounts at once.
• Apply specific phone number filters when you only want to block one test or internal contact.
• Review your Ignore List periodically to ensure it reflects current workflows and integrations.
