Email Integration Settings in BodyShop Booster
Overview BodyShop Booster integrates with your email system in several powerful ways to streamline estimate intake, communication, and assignment routing. This article breaks down each setting so you can understand what each email address does, when to use it, and how to configure it for your shop.
Note for Canadian Shops: Your BodyShop Booster email addresses end in @bodyshopemail.com (with the extra "e"). U.S. shops use @bodyshopmail.com. Be sure to use the correct domain when configuring your system.
1. Estimates: Receiving New Estimates for Processing
Each shop is assigned a unique email address like: estimate.yourshop@bodyshopmail.com
(or @bodyshopemail.com in Canada)
You can send estimates directly from your estimating platform (e.g., CCC, Mitchell, Audatex) to this address. When received, BodyShop Booster automatically:
- Parses the estimate
- Attaches it to the correct repair record
- Sets it as the estimate of record
Why it matters:
- Estimators don’t need to log in to Booster
- Enables automations like estimate delivery to the customer
Pro Tip: Use this address to let your estimators email estimates directly from their platform and still give customers a great experience.
2. CRM Email: Sending & Receiving Mail in Booster
Your shop has a dedicated CRM email address like: yourshop@bodyshopmail.com
This address is used to:
- Send emails to customers from inside the CRM
- Receive customer replies, which are automatically routed to their profile
It powers:
- 2-way email conversations
- Automated customer follow-ups
- Streamlined communication history
3. Assignments: Receiving from Estimating Platforms
Mitchell & Audatex
Use: assignments.yourshop@bodyshopmail.com
Add this address as a recipient in your estimating platform. BodyShop Booster will:
- Receive assignment notifications
- Attach them to the appropriate repair record
CCC
Use: ccc.yourshop@bodyshopmail.com
Due to CCC’s unique system, routing works differently:
- CCC sends assignments to your shop email
- You set up a forwarding rule from your inbox to your CCC Booster email address
Why two separate addresses? CCC requires routing to go through your inbox first due to privacy policies and platform limitations.
4. Forwarding Assignments to a Person
You can optionally forward assignment notifications from Booster to another team member, like a manager or CSR.
Example:
- Mitchell sends to Booster
- Booster receives it
- Booster then forwards it to suzie@frontdesk.com (as an example)
Note: Mitchell now supports multiple recipients, so forwarding may be unnecessary. CCC still allows only one recipient, so forwarding is more commonly used there.
Final Tips
- Stick with the default settings unless you have a specific need—they’re optimized for most workflows.
- Double-check your domain: Canadian shops must use @bodyshopemail.com, not @bodyshopmail.com.
- These settings work best when paired with Booster’s automations and estimate delivery tools.
