Custom Fields Value changes now an Automation trigger
Trigger Automations from Field Value Changes!
Hey guys, Rob here with BodyShop Booster, and I’ve got a quick but powerful update for this week’s Tuesday Newsday.
We’ve just released a brand new automation trigger that gives you even more control over your workflow:
You can now trigger an automation when a repair record field changes in value.
What does that mean?
If a field on the repair record is updated—either from empty to filled or from filled to empty—that change can now automatically trigger an automation.
Here’s a quick example:
Let’s say your team completes a damage assessment and determines that Fred Flintstone’s car is officially a total loss.
You update the Total Loss indicator from blank to “Yes.”
That single field update can now trigger an automation—like sending a third-party message to a dealership, salesperson, or even updating a status internally.
Pro Tip:
If you’re using CCC Secure Share integration or our open API to communicate with your production system, this Total Loss field can be automatically updated, which means the automation can run without anyone lifting a finger.
It’s a powerful way to close the communication loop and make your process even more efficient.
Put this new trigger to work and streamline more of your shop’s day-to-day.
As always, let us know if you need help getting it set up.
See you next time!
