How to Use the Estimate Added Automation Trigger

Overview

The Estimate Added Automation Trigger in BodyShop Booster allows you to automatically launch a Flow or action the moment a new estimate is added to the system—whether it’s from CCC, Tractable, or uploaded manually.

This is especially valuable in today’s market, where customer-pay repairs are on the rise, and standing out from competitors means delivering a unique, branded sales experience—complete with automated follow-up.

And the best part?

Your estimators don’t need to log in to BodyShop Booster at all. Just send the estimate from CCC, and Booster handles the rest.

Step 1: Create the Automation

To get started, you'll need to set up an automation that’s triggered when a new estimate is received.

🔹 Instructions

1. Go to Admin > Automations.
2. Click “Add Automation.”
3. Give your automation a clear name, like “Estimate Added.”
4. In the trigger dropdown, select Estimate Added.
5. Choose your follow-up action(s), such as:
   • Sending a specific Flow (e.g., "Estimate Sent")
   • Assigning tags
   • Filtering by customer type
6. For a basic setup, simply send the “Estimate Sent” Flow to the customer.

7. Click Save.

   
   

✅ Tip: You can build more advanced logic later, including branching conditions and different flows for different types of customers.

Step 2: Send the Estimate from CCC

Once the automation is built, you can trigger it by emailing an estimate to BodyShop Booster from CCC.

🔹 Find Your Estimate Email Address

1. Go to Admin > Integrations > Email.

2. Locate the field labeled:

   “Address to receive new estimates for processing.”

3. Copy this email address. This is where all new estimates should be sent.

   
   
   

🔹 Send from CCC

1. In CCC, open the estimate you'd like to send.
2. Click Send, and select Vehicle Owner (you’ll change the email in the next step).
3. Choose Preliminary Estimate and click Create Email.
4. Replace the “To” email address with your BodyShop Booster Estimate Email Address.

5. Click Send.

   
   

💡 Pro Tip: Save this email address to your contacts in CCC so it’s easy to reuse in future estimates.

Once sent, BodyShop Booster will automatically recognize the estimate and trigger the automation you've configured.

Other Supported Estimate Sources

The Estimate Added Trigger works with more than just CCC. You can also use it with:

• Tractable or AI-Generated Estimates

  Configure the platform to treat these as standard estimates—or use them for triage only.

• Manually Uploaded Estimates

  Upload directly via the dashboard, job file, or other supported entry points. The trigger still works the same.
