Merge and Lock repairs

Step-by-Step Guide to Using the Chevron Bar Features for Merge and Lock repairs

  1. Locking a Repair
    • Open the repair record you wish to lock.
    • Click the three dots (menu) on the repair record.
    • Select the "Lock" option to prevent messages from flowing into this repair.
    • Once locked, any incoming messages will be directed to the open repair.
  2. Unlocking a Repair
    • If you need to unlock a previously locked repair, go to the locked repair record.
    • Click the three dots (menu) and select "Unlock."
  3. Merging Repair Records
    • When an extra repair record is created unintentionally, you can merge it with the correct record.
    • Click the three dots (menu) on the repair you wish to merge.
    • Select "Merge Repair."
    • Choose the target repair (e.g., Chrysler Voyager) to merge into.
    • Confirm the merge.
    • Note: that while conversations are retained, your repair and estimate details and any automations for this repair merging will be lost.
  4. Managing Messages with Two Open Repairs - General Messages
      • If there are two open repairs for the same customer, messages might default to a general message pool.
      • To correct this, identify the general message and move it to the appropriate repair.
      • After moving the message, the general message pool should be clear.

By following these steps, you can effectively utilize the new Chevron Bar features, reducing confusion and improving message management in your repair shop workflow.
